What is Hogarth Press?
Hogarth Press was a publishing house started in Richmond – UK, in the year 1917 by Lernard and Virginia Woolf.
What is the objective of the project?
1. Printed edition: To publish an annual edition on paper containing all the monthly electronic editions of the year.
2. Electronic edition: Texts on various subjects from different authors published in pdf format as a zine through the site, monthly.
How does the site work?
The site is divided into three different formats:
1. Editions: Contains all our monthly publications.
2. Think: Free area for the project participants to express their views or raise other issues with staff.
3. Blog: The way to track how the project has evolved.
When is the first edition?
This is expected for the end of November or beginning of December/2008.
Who is the publisher?
So far there is no publisher supporting the project. The initial idea is to make a limited edition of magazines that will be sold in some bookstores and via the website.
Can I help the project?
Absolutely! The aim of the project is exactly to meet people who enjoy writing texts and make them public through the site. You can contribute in three ways:
1. Sending text to be published in the section Think or possibly in the electronic editions.
2. As an author of fixed electronic editions.
3. Tell friends who may have an interest in participating.
4. Making a donation.
Shall I be paid for my texts?
Not initially. The project is not for profit, as we have said, our aim is to create a community of people who enjoy writing and bring them together in one place.
How is the project financed?
Through ads on the site and in the magazine, sponsorships and the sale of the electronic editions (monthly) and printed versions through the site.
